Rocio Sanchez

Staff Attorney

Rocío is an Immigration Staff Attorney and works primarily with families and unaccompanied minors who seek protection from deportation before the Immigration Courts and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Rocío’s current work also includes community outreach and legal education.

Prior to becoming a Staff Attorney, Rocío served as a UCLA Public Service Fellow with Centro Legal.

Rocío has served as a law clerk with the Immigrant Legal Resource Center, Public Counsel, and CLSEPA. She has also participated in the UCLA Asylum Clinic, the Chicano/Latino Law Review, and has lead La Raza Law Students Association and El Centro Legal, a student group dedicated to facilitating access to justice for underserved communities.

Rocío graduated from the UCLA School of Law, where she specialized in the David J. Epstein Program in Public Interest Law and Policy. She holds an undergraduate degree in Ethnic Studies and Social Welfare from UC Berkeley. Rocio is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
